Tommy Shoemaker was hired January 28 after 15 years at Harding Academy in Searcy.
Shoemaker Hired to Lead Football Program
After an extensive search, CAC has hired Tommy Shoemaker as head football coach to replace Tim Perry who resigned in December to take the offensive coordinator's position at Harding University. Shoemaker spent the last 15 years at Harding Academy in Searcy, the last 11 as head coach.
Shoemaker led HA to eight conference championships, three state semifinal appearances and a state title in 2002 while compiling an overall record of 117-23. He also served as defensive coordinator at Alabama Christian Academy in Montgomery after playing for Perry there in high school.
