MUSTANG MONITOR APRIL 5TH
Great Weather Greetings,
I hope this finds you well and not suffering from sunburn, windburn or excessive pollen. Of late, all have been likely. This will be an exciting week at CAC; make some events to support our student athletes in their efforts.
Two great opportunities for track meet action on Mustang Mountain as CAC hosts the junior high version of the Mustang Mountain Relays on Monday and the middle school and junior high conference meet of the River City Conference on Thursday. For both meets, field events will begin at 4:00 pm with running events starting at 5:30. A bit of adult help at the timing stand may be beneficial for both meets. Your investment will be from about 5:15 until 7:30-8:00 and food and drink will be provided. I've gotten some volunteers but there is room for 1 or 2 others. Thank you for your consideration.
All of the varsity teams will continue conference play this week at one time or another. Stay tuned to the website for updates and results.
By way of reminder, a varsity football parents meeting was scheduled for Monday, April 5. The meeting was changed a few weeks ago to Monday, April 26, at 6:00 pm in the Cone Auditorium. Please make a note of the change on your calendar if you haven't already done so. Also, don't forget the 2:00 day originally scheduled for Wednesday, April 14, has been moved to Wednesday, April 21, to accommodate standardized testing.
Congratulations are in order for some of our student athletes; junior April Terry established a new school record in the shot put. Her toss of 39 feet 10 inches also won Thursday's meet at Beebe. And the Lady Mustang softball team finished 4th in the Orange Crush tournament in Batesville. Great job girls!
Life goes on and the school clock is rapidly ticking to an ending. Come on out to some events and be glad you did. Thank you for your support and efforts. Do holler if we may be of assistance.
