MUSTANG MONITOR MAY 21ST

posted by CAC Staff on 05.21.10 category: general | sport: football

Greetings,

I’m sending a brief reminder about the Purple & Gold football scrimmage tomorrow night at Mustang Mountain.  The varsity game will begin at 5:00 pm.  They plan to play something resembling an actual game including a halftime although it’s likely that activities might be somewhat abbreviated.  The concession stand will not be open due to limited inventory and personnel.  There will be no admission charged for the event.  Please come out and see the new version of the Mustangs.

We have also received notification of some additional post season honors.  Congratulations to the following:
Baseball 5A West All Conference – John Edwards, Wesley Freeland

Baseball 2nd Team All Conference – John Chapman, Aaron Sims

Softball 5A West All Conference – Courtney Harrison, Morgan Kirk

Softball 2nd Team All Conference – Reagan Bennett, Fulton Partlow

Great job to these Mustang athletes.

Additionally, grads Chase Cain, Ryan Lamberson and Cara Rolf have received invitations to participate in the AAA’s All Star Soccer Game on June 22 at Lady Razorback Field in Fayetteville.  Congratulations to them and best wishes for that game and the future!

I also recommend you look at the front page of the CACMustangs.org website for information on the many summer sports camps that will be offered on Mustang Mountain.  It’s a great way to keep you kids occupied and to permit them some opportunity to practice and improve their skills and team play.

The Journalism department has a few 2010 yearbook available for purchased.  The current edition is $60 and may be purchased from Kristy Quattlebaum.  It’s a great book with some outstanding photos and reminders of the year.  You may reserve on by calling her at 758-3160, ext 132.  Get ‘em while they last.

Remember, next week is finals.  Testing will be in the morning with dismissal at 11:40.  There will be no lunch served nor after school care.  Now is NOT the time for the students to let up.  Good luck to them in their preparations.

Till the next time, have a great weekend.

Doug Killgore, CMAA
